We need to ensure there is a distinction between Category:Occupations and Category:Professions, or there is not point in having the category and we should delete it. I am concerned that some of the roles are better described as occupations. Of concern to me are: Tradesman (which are this are already described in their own category called Category:Construction trades workers), Village head, Edentulism and Endodontics (because they are not occupations), Prince-abbot (because I'm not certain clergy roles are commonly referred to today as professions... should we categorize the Pope in here? We already have Category: Religious leadership roles), and all the government roles (e.g., Receiver General ... is every title in government going to be a profession?).
Keep in mind that most roles that are similar to the ones listed have not even been properly categorized into here yet and this category has the potential for being quite large. I propose the following organization:
- Main category: Category:Occupations (non-professions go here or into one of the other sub-categories)

- Sub category: Category:Construction trades workers (trademen go here, or better yet, rename to Category:Tradesmen)
- Sub category: Category: Religious leadership roles (all clergy roles go here)
- Sub category: Category: Business professions (identify business roles and put here)
- Sub category: Category: Government occupations (identify government roles and put here)
- Sub category: Category: Education, training, and library occupations (teachers go here)
- Sub category: Category: Healthcare occupations (dentists and doctors go here)
So my suggestion is to rename the category to Category: Business professions and sort other roles into categories as per the above. I think this would greatly improve the clarity and usefulness of the categories in a more sustainable manner. We would also need to rewrite the category text intro.
