Rick Rubin (ur. 10 marca 1963), producent muzyczny, właściciel wytwórni, zajmujący się przede wszystkim muzyką z gatunku heavy metal i rap.
Założył m.in. wytwórnię Def Jam w 1984 roku w Nowym Jorku, a w wyniku niezgodności ze wspólnikiem, Russellem Simmonsem, przeniósł się do Los Angeles, gdzie w 1989 r. stworzył Def American. W 1993 r. wytwórnia ta zmieniła nazwę na American Recordings.
Zespoły i artyści współpracujący do tej pory z Rubinem to m.in. Beastie Boys, Aerosmith, The Cult, Danzig, Slayer, Johnny Cash, Public Enemy, AC/DC, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Black Crowes, System of a Down, Slipknot, Linkin Park oraz U2.
