Kuppam

Kuppam is a town in Andhra Pradesh that is 105 km from Bangalore and 250 km from Chennai by rail. It is famous for its granite quarries, so much so that a granite variety is named after the town, viz. Kuppam Green. Kuppam shot to fame after the ex AP Chief Minister and the TDP supremo N. Chandra Babu Naidu won the elections from this constituency.
Kuppam was also the site of an interesting experiment by Hewlett Packard which founded the i-community there [1]. It is located in Kerala, India.
There is a river in Kerala named Kuppam Puzha (puzha meaning "river" in Malayalam).
