Quickswitch is an Autobot sixchanger. Besides his basic form as a humanoid robot he turns into a jet, drill tank, laser pistol, hovercraft and a flying puma. His bio described him as being completely unpredictable, having almost as many mood swings as alternate modes.
[edit] Marvel Comics
Quickswitch's sole comic appearance came in issue #240 of the U.K. Marvel Transformers comic. Here, he was due to meet an informant at Maccadam's Old Oil House, a Cybertronian allegiance free bar. However, he was interrupted by several Meccanibals, who had hunted down Dreadwind and Darkwing after an incident where they had tried to feed them the Autobot Pretenders. Quickswitch used his multiple alternate modes to summarily dispatch the hungry mechanoids. The two Decepticons were so deep in depression and drink over their situation that they didn't even notice.
[edit] Dreamwave Productions
Quickswitch never appeared in any of Dreamwave's Generation One comics before the company closed, but he did get a two page biography in their More Than Meets The Eye series.
[edit] Transformers: Masterforce (1988)
Quickswitch was recolored into the Autobot Sixknight for Transformers: Super-God Masterforce but is a completely unrelated character.
Initially Sixknight was a wandering Transformer who belonged to neither the Autobot or Decepticon faction. When he asked the Decepticon if he could join them, they told him he would have to defeat the Autobot leader Ginrai. Sixknight faced Ginrai in combat and lost. However, his defeat by the human powered Transtector forced him to re-evaluate himself and eventually side with the Autobots. He aided them once against the Decepticon Headmaster Juniors, and on another occasion against Buster and Hydra while the Autobot Headmaster Juniors were trying to activate Godbomber without Super Ginrai. He died while fighting Black Zarak to allow God Ginrai to rescue their new ally Overlord near the end of the series.
