Railroad Hour

Railroad Hour was a half-hour radio series broadcast from the late 1940s to the mid-1950s. Singer-actor Gordon MacRae starred. The series, featuring scripts by Jean Holloway, condensed musicals and operettas to a half-hour, concentrating on those written before 1943.
Offerings included The Desert Song, The Student Prince, The Vagabond King, and Show Boat. Soprano Dorothy Kirsten was a frequent co-star on the program.
