Raincoat

The raincoat, a garment worn to protect the body from rain, is a compromise between fashion and utility. It may be hip-length or longer.
Important styles of raincoat, often associated with particular manufacturers, include:
- Mackintosh
- Gannex
- waxed jacket (e.g. made in UK by Barbour and Burberry)
- anorak
- cagoule or kagoule
- poncho
- Trench coat
- K-way or cagoule
