Ray Cashley (b. October 23, 1951) was a football goalkeeper. He joined Bristol City F.C. as a youth player and was their number one goalkeeper in the early 70's. He even scored a goal for City with a long clearance from his own penalty area. He is one of only four goalkeepers to do this, the other three being Peter Shilton, Steve Sherwood and Steve Ogrizovic. In the 1975-76 season City were promoted to the First Division but Ray Cashley lost his place to John Shaw.
