Arsenal (Kremlin) and Terem Palace completely rewritten. The former was first confused with the Senate, then with the Armoury. --Ghirla-трёп- 17:37, 30 March 2006 (UTC)
Template:Kremlin. The coverage of the Kremlin in WP is far from perfection, to say the least. --Ghirla-трёп- 16:36, 30 March 2006 (UTC)
Kudos to Alex Bakharev for creating {{Ruswelcome}}, used to welcome new users interested in Russian topics. I almost created a duplicate myself when I spotted this one, so I'm announcing it here in case other people missed it as well.—Ëzhiki (ërinacëus amurënsis) 15:53, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
Large article Yugorsk by User:Danyliv irina. In desperate need of copyediting abakharev 01:57, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
Kungur unstubbed and expanded by Maria Romanova and formatted by me. Tons of pictures with unknown copyright status! Lots of proofreading and copyediting needed.—Ëzhiki (ërinacëus amurënsis) 17:28, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
By the way, can anybody check whether the latter skyscraper still houses a ministry? I don't think there is such an institution now. --Ghirla-трёп- 12:55, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
Battle of Larga and Battle of Kagul - stubs. We still lack articles on Suvorov's victories against the Turks. Please fill in the gap. --Ghirla-трёп- 10:54, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
I renamed it List of cities and towns in Russia by population and added a short intro. For future reference, please refer to Russian goroda as "cities and towns". I know it's a pain in the rear end to remember and to write out, but it's the only way to refer to them accurately.—Ëzhiki (ërinacëus amurënsis) 19:54, 27 March 2006 (UTC)
I wonder what would happen if I were a Wiccan... Would they write an article about me? AFD, if you ask me. KNewman 09:14, 26 March 2006 (UTC)
Bolshevik: 1903-1917 partially rewritten and expanded by User:Ahasuerus. Much more needs to be done to add references, correct numerous mistakes, omissions and non-encyclopedic statements, but it will have to wait until April unless somebody else wants to chime in. Ahasuerus 00:39, 26 March 2006 (UTC)
Sorry, CTAPT, but this article is притянута за уши and высосана из пальца. I'd vote for its deletion. Unless I see an article on Bulgarian playgrounds or something like that :). And don't forget to take out the Soviet playground reference from the Playground article. KNewman 19:39, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
Actually, this article could be a part of a bigger article about Soviet urbanization and city-building policies. A certain number of playgrounds was mandatory for each microdistrict, just as there was supposed to be a certain number of shops/schools/kindergartens, as well as a дом быта, and a palace of culture covering a certain area. While the article just about a playground is viable, it is poorly titled (although I am having trouble coming up with a better title) and badly needs references (which as Cmapm indicated are hard to come by).—Ëzhiki (ërinacëus amurënsis) 20:09, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
I admit, that generally it may be not important at all for most of other people, although it's important for me. I am not "the truth in the last instance". Actually, I'd compare it to hypothetic article about Soviet automats of aerated waters. :) But you should refer to community to ask/vote, whether it's important or not, not to me. Cmapm 20:28, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
Shouldn't this be moved to Siege of Taganrog (if the siege it was). Were there any other sieges of this town? --Ghirla-трёп- 16:07, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
It seems to be an another siege in 1736, but I'm not sure. Brandmeister 02:37, 23 March 2006 (UTC)
Juri Zaharievich and Roman Jurievich Zaharin-Koshkin by User:Tabatha Pavlovna Romanov. Should we move him to Juri Zaharievich Koshkin? abakharev 03:29, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
All the spellings are weird, as is the data. Probably taken from Genealogisches Handbuch des Adels. --Ghirla-трёп- 07:37, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
Can you fix it? abakharev 08:30, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
I don't really care about those dudes. --Ghirla-трёп- 09:17, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
How about AfDing them? In their present form, the articles are useless.—Ëzhiki (ërinacëus amurënsis) 13:40, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
I would support, although it's not very likely that the stubs will be deleted. --Ghirla-трёп- 16:07, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
I'll assume Ghirla knows the more correct name for the article, I am restoring the referenced information he removed though.--Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul PiotrusTalk 13:47, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
Andrey Bolshoy by me. Needs cats and proofreading, feels like my English has gotten a little worse :). KNewman 19:24, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
Good grief! I nominated the article for WP:DYK. --Ghirla-трёп- 17:18, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
No essential distinction, although Wiki has e.g. Felix Dzerzhinsky. I've made the redirect to Felix Gromov. Brand 20:15, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
Downtown Saint Petersburg and Arbat by User:Fisss. I can't see any rationale for such articles, when we have detailed description of the downtown in Saint Petersburg and a separate article for Arbat Street. The guy needs mentoring, as he daily starts arbitrary cats (e.g., Category:Moscow-City), indulges in cut & paste moves (see here), and uploads non-free copyrighted photographs as {PD-self}. Many of his edits are still frustrating: "Madame Malinovskaya, Pushkin's wife, the non-biological mother of his children", "Greboyedova canal", or "Pavel Noshchokin, one of Pushkin's closest friends". --Ghirla-трёп- 19:14, 20 March 2006 (UTC)
I don't understand it, either. The phrase seems to have been taken from Category:Moscow neighborhoods, which was started by KNewman to list suburban localities like Abramtsevo. This guy Fisss seems to be reforming. He started Zamoskvoreche (sic!), Presnya, and Moscow-City (sic!), but the pictures which he tags {PD-self} still look suspiciously like copyvios to me. I would list them among requests for investigation. --Ghirla-трёп- 19:36, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
Well, officially, Moscow has raiony and mikroraiony (the latter are usually numbered, like 7 mikroraion; some have names like Zyablikovo). There are raiony such as Orekhovo-Borisovo, Chertanovo, Medvedkovo, Nikulino etc. I'm just not sure if neighborhood is a correct name for them. KNewman 07:28, 20 March 2006 (UTC)
Those are called administrative units. One can colloquially call them neighborhoods, of course, but the problem with that term is that it's ambiguous. If no one objects, I am going to clean up that category, recategorizing its entries, and delete it before it grows out of control. If you wish to keep this category, please come up with the definition of what exactly it should cover. I think, however, that this is one of those ideas that seemed good at the time :)—19:03, 20 March 2006 (UTC)
Sounds like a good idea. --Ghirla-трёп- 19:14, 20 March 2006 (UTC)
Alright, this cat is gone. Now, a cat with historical areas of Moscow (or whatever other name works better) is what we really need.—Ëzhiki (ërinacëus amurënsis) 17:33, 23 March 2006 (UTC)
The article prompted me to regularize the categorization by introducing such categories as Category:Awards and decorations of Russia and Category:Russian military decorations. --Ghirla-трёп- 16:42, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
Take a look at the Main Page: it is already there! --Ghirla-трёп- 18:38, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
Battle of Krasny Bor by User:Penumbra-88. Seems to have been a minor engagement rather than a "battle" in a sense we speak of "Битва за Москву". The opening says that "the battle ended with a large portion of the Leningrad-Moscow Highway in Soviet hands for the first time since September, 1941, which was an important step towards resuming the offensive", and yet it is claimed as a German victory in the battlebox. Please look into the matter. --Ghirla-трёп- 12:23, 13 March 2006 (UTC)
What happens to Barguzin then?–Gnomz007(?) 22:21, 12 March 2006 (UTC)
Barguzin is actually a disambiguation page now. I was not sure whether it makes sense to split it into microscopic articles. mikka(t) 00:45, 13 March 2006 (UTC)
Natalia Tuchkova, found this one in the Dead-end Pages section of Wikipedia. Should it be deleted or expanded somehow? Doesn't look encyclopedic in its present state. KNewman 16:34, 10 March 2006 (UTC)
I don't think it is the worst article we have. Take a look at Joel Shubin, for instance. --Ghirla-трёп- 18:36, 10 March 2006 (UTC)
Sochi conflict by Kober, a big article unnoticed since December. Some concerns about the title and neutrality. --Ghirla-трёп- 10:47, 10 March 2006 (UTC)
Avraham Shmulevich by User:Mjsedgwick. This guy is very active in Russian-language internet but is he really notable either in Israel or in Russia? abakharev 12:33, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
I wonder, how been an admin helps someone to ivestigate copyvio? Is he removing the copyvio notice? I'll look anyway abakharev 10:40, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
I have removed a couple of borrowed sentences from the other two articles, the rest is clean (I think) abakharev 11:08, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
The guy started two more pages full of copyrighted stuff. His talk page consists of copyright warnings only and he didn't answer to any of these. I don't know why admins treat his continuing disruptions so leniently. Probably an appeal in Russian would be more helpful. --Ghirla-трёп- 15:06, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
Andrey Maltsev by User:KirGlobal. Looks like a vanity to me abakharev 10:01, 4 March 2006 (UTC)

Take a look at accordion or ask mikka to take one ;) --Ghirla-трёп- 00:07, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
OK. I took a look at accordion. What now? ;) mikka(t) 08:22, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
You seem to be knowledable on Russian musical instruments and probably know how to tell a Russian accordion from other types. I don't. --Ghirla-трёп- 09:00, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
An article on Aleksey Petrovich Yermolov needs to be fixed. Someone dumped a load of info in it without wikifying and stuff. Looks kinda ugly. KNewman 21:24, 1 March 2006 (UTC)
Actually, I raised similar concerns before. --Ghirla-трёп- 00:07, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
