Ruslana's surname would be more correctly transliterated as Lyzhychko -- 81.156.12.122 20:59, 16 May 2004 (UTC)

Yes; the i stems from the Russian version of her name, Лыжичко. We had an extended discussion of this on the German Wikipedia. --Chirlu 22:55, 2004 May 17 (UTC)

I don't think Ruslana has been the first winner that hasn't sung the winning song in the following edition of the contest. I don't know about other editions, but I can recall that in 1999 Dana International sang two songs off her newest album (then) during the interval act and not "Diva" at all.

Hey, could someone go to List of albums (R) and alphabeticise the part with Ruslana's albums? I can see that they're not in order (well they're in order by year, but that's not the system there) but as I don't know the Russian alphabet I'd appreciate the help. Thanks. [edit] Section lifted from press release

The section headed "Ruslana celebrated Romania's intergration to the European Union" is copied word for word from a press release on Ruslana's website. It should be rewritten (and shortened), or removed altogether.--GagHalfrunt 15:54, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

That's been deleted now, but the "WorldVision" section also reads as if it's been lifted from a press release, for example: “Africa is a very interesting country for me.", Ruslana says while sharing her impressions.--GagHalfrunt 20:36, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

This biography is rife with marketing fluff and public relations cruft, of which I consolidated a few pieces. [edit] Fraudulent Defeat?

Under "Political Career" the article says:

In 2004's disputed Ukrainian presidential elections, she declared her support for Viktor Yushchenko. She was one of the scores of prominent figures that addressed the massive crowds rallying in support of Yushchenko's demand that his original defeat be declared fraudulent.

Can a defeat be fraudulent? (Well, I suppose it could, if someone feels he must resort to dishonest means in order to earn a defeat. But how often does that happen?)

Shouldn't we really be saying that Yushchenko wanted his opponent's victory to be declared fraudulent?
