Salt keys

Salt keys are keys that have been worn down by exposure to the elements, much like beach glass. There are a small number of semi-professional beachcombers who specialize in the collection of salt keys. There are few collector in the United States, but there are a considerable number in France. The most sought-after salt keys include those made of gold, silver, or pinchbeck.
