- Naturally-occurring plant of seabeach amaranth (Amaranthus pumilus) at Cape Hatteras National Seashore and seabeach amaranth plants in the greenhouse at North Carolina State University Southeast Plant Environment Laboratories ready for field transplant. Restoration of the seabeach amaranth, a federally listed threatened species, is one of several projects to restore native species in National Parks.
