Serge Raynaud de la Ferrière was inspired by the scenario of his epoch: the White Brotherhood, founded by Deunov; Lanza del Vasto; the "Union Spirituelle Universelle" (U.S.U.), a permanent congress for free and united people organized by Maha Chohan Kout Houmi Lal Singh in the late fourties, among others.
Although he has inspired many followers especially in Latin America, there are many things about his biography which remain unclear. The award Ernest Rousille which he is supposed to have received at the age of 12 is unknown in France and Belgium and his so-called academic degrees (in Psychology, Theology, Social Science, Engineering and Philosophy)have not been found either. Research has been done on them in vain at universities in Holland, Belgium and France.
