I'm starting this page as a "sandbox" for a listing of Pittsburgh Restaurants, which I will hopefully post elsewhere on wikipedia in the near future.

Update (9/16): This page is finally starting to take shape. I'd like to add more descriptions rather than just addresses and phone numbers. Also, I need to find a new home for this page at some point, maybe wikitravel?

Square Café

- I found this place a couple of weeks ago, and have been there twice already. The food is really good! Everything I've tried there has been good, including a fresh fruit cup and the nutella crepes with strawberries. The orange juice wasn't gross like it often is at diners, and I'm told the coffee is good too. It's about the same price as (the main breakfast place in Pgh), but the food is much better. Well worth the trip.

- This Argentinian coffee house has lots of ethnic pastries, drinks (in real mugs!) and sandwiches, all good. It's also somewhat of a hub for those who are learning Spanish or already speak it, as they have several language learning events every week, including classes, and conversation practice opportunities.

- The Church Brew Works has two menus: the regular menu and the beer menu. The regular menu has a varied collection of entrées, while the beer menu shows off the beers they make in their own micro-brewery and also has the pizza listing.

- This diner style Italian restaurant is one of the nicer restaurants on the Pitt section of Forbes Ave. I have always been happy with the entrées ($6-$9 for sandwiches and the daily blue plate special, $8-$10 for most pasta dishes, and $13+ for specialities). The salad before the meal is always one of highlights for me, along with the garlic bread. All around good basic Italian food. Owned by the same people as Fuel & Fuddle.

- This is one of those nice Italian places that just happens to have a bar in the entrance. They have all the normal Italian choices (at $10-$15 for most dishes), plus the create-your-own option which gives you a choice of both sauce and pasta shape as well as a selection of vegetables to add on.
