[edit] Speedy deletion of An environmentally sensitive Holi
A tag has been placed on An environmentally sensitive Holi, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet very basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Realkyhick 06:24, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
- The problems with the article were: 1) it appeared to be a cut-and-paste job from another source; 2) there were no citations of sources; 3) there was no way for those unfamiliar with the festival to figure out if this article was for real or simply a hoax or self-promotion. My first suggestion is to make this information an additional part of the main Holi article. Beyond that, make sure you give citations of sources for the information in your addition. See information about citations to learn how to do this, then give it another shot. Realkyhick 01:38, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
- I think Realkyhick's comments pretty much summed up my concerns on the article. Without sources, it looks like original research. - Mailer Diablo 03:04, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
