The Sony Ericsson W880i Walkman phone is due for release some time in the first half of 2007, possibly as early as March. It has 2 different colours wich are Flame Black and Steel Silver. The W880i boasts several features including: Walkman version 2.0, Videostreaming, PicturesDJ, MusicDJ, VideoDJ, RSS Support, and Track ID. It has also a non-3G version of the phone which is the Sony Ericsson W888c.

The Sony Ericsson W880i supports a wide range of Audio, Video and Image formats:
- Video MP4, 3GPP, H263, H264 and Real8.
- Image JPEG, GIF, BMP, PNG, WBMP, SVG and Flash.
- Audio MP3, MP4, AAC, ACC+, M4A, 3GP, AMR, Real 8 and G-MDI.

The camera is a standard 2 megapixel camera with up to a 32x digital zoom. The W880i doesn't have an auto focus and flash but it does have night mode. The secondary videocall camera is just an ordinary VGA camera.

The phone now provides a image gallery by the month which is simillar to the Nokia lifeblog software. It is also found in some newer Sony Ericsson mobile phones.
