The Southern Railway of British Columbia is a Canadian short line railway operating in the southwestern mainland portion of British Columbia. The railway was formerly owned by Crown corporation BC Hydro and was known as the BC Hydro Railway until being sold to the Itel Rail Group 1988 and renamed to Southern Railway of British Columbia, it was later bought by the Washington Group in 1994 keeping the SRY name. It was originally built as the British Columbia Electric Railway (BCER)
