A word created at Natomas Charter School in Sacramento, California. Its origin is attributed to a coincidental placement of letters in a science class word search, and its creation is generally attributed to Jason "Egghead" Eggleston. Its use is perpetuated by Jason Eggleston, Bob Aarons and Jeff Krisko of Pepperdine University; Sacramento, California; and University of California, Santa Barbara, respectively.
