Saint Agnes Boys High School is a small private Catholic high school in New York City run by the Marist Brothers in conjunction with the Archdiocese of New York. This school has just over 400 students during a given semester. The tuition cost is roughly $5,000 a year, with tuition assistance available. The mascot of St. Agnes is the stag. It is an all-boys Catholic school located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Their college-preparartory curriculum prepares young men for success in college and careers.

St. Agnes enrolls approximately 325 young men in grades 9 through 12. The average class size is 25. The school’s small size ensures personal attention for each student. The faculty at St. Agnes is committed to helping each student develop his academic talents fully.

St. Agnes is located on West End Avenue at West 87th Street on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. The school is just one block from the number 1 subway stop at 86th Street and Broadway, with easy connections to the Number 2 and 3 express trains. In addition, the M-86 cross-town bus stops directly across the street from the school, providing convenient access for students on the East Side. Students from all five boroughs are enrolled at St. Agnes.

Annual class enrollment is limited to approximately 130 male students from the New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut tri-state area.
The Test for Admission to Catholic High Schools (TACHS) is given on Thursday, November 9, 2006.
You must submit a copy of your 7th and 8th grade marks as part of the TACHS program. Some public schools are slow to send this information, so public school students are advised to mail a photocopy of their seventh and eighth grade report cards to Saint Agnes by December 15. The school code for St. Agnes Boys High School is 105.
Students are notified of acceptance by mail on or after Thursday, January 18, 2007.

Parents of eighth grade students who would like to spend a day at Saint Agnes can call the admissions office at 212 873-9100 to schedule a visit during the months of October through January.

All students at St. Agnes enroll in a college-preparatory curriculum. Required courses are:

The Advanced Placement Program allows high school students to earn college credits. St. Agnes offers Advanced Placement courses in American History, English, Studio Art and Spanish. Elective courses are offered in a variety of disciplines in junior and senior year.
