[edit] Why is this Still Blocked?
Does it make any sense to continue blocking the creation of this page? Stevepavlina.com now how a much higher alexa ranking than, e.g., Instapundit. Compare Instapundit, at rank 13467 against Steve Pavlina, at rank 2491. Pavlina is now also higher ranking than the Daily Kos, at rank 2514. Pavlina's site is fast approaching the readership of the Huffington Post, which sits at rank 1788.
I picked these sites because they (among others) were mentioned in the the AfD for Steve Pavlina. The exact quote from User:Geedubber was "Instapundit, Daily Kos, and Huffington Post are not small time niche blogs blogs. If, and when, he reaches as large an audience as these blogger then he can have a page."
Pavlina's site is now larger than Instapundit or the Daily Kos (as measured with Alexa rankings), and catching up with the Huffington Post. All of those sites have articles. What rational is left for blocking the recreation of this page? If it looked like an advertisement, that means it needs to be cleaned up, not deleted and blocked.

Also agree. Steve Pavlina seems like he's had much of an influence in the "lifehacking" blogosphere, with even many people starting similarly set-up and written blogs. Frank Quist 01:31, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

Agreed -- I think this page should be unprotected, perhaps with some controls? Steve is earning a significant amount of money from blogging, I thought a fair comparison might be Darren Rowse. Darren is #5 on Technorati's most favourited ranking and #35 on their most linked ranking. Pavlina is #97 on favourited and doesn't appear in the top #100 on most linked. Rowse's ranking in Alexa is [2,463], Pavlina's is [3,374]. By comparison, Instapundit is Alexa: 16,062, TFav: 22, TLink: 47; Daily Kos is Alexa: 3,389, TFav: 42, TLink: 24; Huffington Post is Alexa: 2,336, TFav: 6, TLink: 18. Based on Alexa and TFav, I think Pavlina deserves a mention. If you disagree, please indicate what ranking you feel he needs from these before he does, so at least we have common criteria (or use other rankings as you please, eg. Google hits, perhaps?) - Thanks for the reference, that helps me to understand. What about Technorati rankings, are they in the same category as Alexa? So what we really need are some references? eg. Lifehacker interview or other Lifehacker articles -- except perhaps in a more mainstream publication than Lifehacker, eg. major/mainstream newspaper or publisher? Steve Pavlina deserves a mention, not only because of his blog, but because he had an important role and influence in the history of shareware and casual videogames. Of course blocking this page doesn't make sense at all, but wikipedia pundits decisions never make sense anyway.(someone)
