Summer Heights High

Summer Heights High is an Australian mockumentary, television comedy, created and performed by comedian Chris Lilley. The eight-part series is set in a suburban high school over the course of a school term. Chris plays multiple characters in the series, including Mr G, the delusional dance and drama teacher who sees himself as friend, counsellor and inspiration to his students. More than just a teacher, Mr G is an entertainment industry professional.
Summer Heights High was filmed over 11 weeks, on location at Brighton Secondary College, in Brighton, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Summer Heights High is scheduled to screen in September 2007 on the ABC TV.
Chris Lilley is also the creator of the multi-award winning, We Can Be Heroes: Finding The Australian of the Year. Mr. G is a character that he played in sketches in the Seven Network sketch series Big Bite.
It has also been revealed that his hugely popular character 'J'aime' will feature in the new series.
A co-production between ABC TV and Princess Pictures, the series is directed by Stuart McDonald (MDA, SeaChange, Stranded) and produced by Laura Waters (We Can Be Heroes, Kath & Kim). Executive Producer for ABC TV is Bruce Kane (We Can Be Heroes, Spicks and Specks).
