[edit] October 18th 2006 Rewrite
There was a clean-up tag on this page, and on further inspection i found that the text was that which is on the official Sydney Olympic page, which while good, needed to be reworked, for clarity as well as NPOV. So i tried to add more, cut 'irrelavant' stuff out, and try to NPOV it. As you can probably see, i've tried to impose a structure on the history section, but of course these things are always subjective, and there's always room for improvement.
