Gary Moore

Robert William Gary Moore, född 4 april 1952, är en brittisk (nordirländsk) sångare och gitarrist.
Moore spelat i ett flertal genres från blues, rock till hårdrock. Till grupper han har spelat i hör Thin Lizzy, Colosseum II, Skid Row och Scars. Första riktiga hiten som soloartist och i The Gary Moore band var den lugna melankoliska låten "Empty Rooms" från albumet Victims of the Future, 1984. Med låten "Over the Hills and Far Away" från plattan Wild Frontier från 1987 lyckades Gary kombinera den irländska folkmusiken med klassisk hårdrock. Därefter återinfluerades hans spel alltmer av den klassiska blues han en gång startat med på 1970-talet och han fick en stor hit med blueslåten "Still Got the Blues" 1990.
