Tecsig

Tecsig stands for Technology Coordinators Special Interest Group. The TECSIG is a special interest group of TCEA - Texas Computer Educators Association, which is based out of Austin, Texas. The TECSIG supports technology professions in the State of Texas.
Tecsig has their own section of TCEA's web site, TECSIG Home, and is a paid membership organization. The group is famous among Technology professionals for their listserve where any members can ask a technology question and receive response from other members.
The current president, Miguel Ghulin, has the honor of being kicked off of the listserve by the Executive Director of TCEA, Ron Cravey, for submitting TCEA business to other organizations without permission from the proper authorities.
The Tecsig currently supplied most of the members of the new organization, SOSSIG. The SOSSIG is a TCEA special interest group specializing in open source support for educational institutes in Texas.
