Ten point program

The ten point program was a plan made in 1974 by the Palestinian National Council, the legislative body of the Palestine Liberation Organization [PLO]. It called for a Palestinian state in first the Palestinian territories and then the Palestinian state to replace Israel. It also says the PLO rejection of a Palestinian state only on the West Bank and Gaza and it's rejection of resolutions 242 and 338. The ten point program says the PLO's rejection of a Palesitnian state in return for peace with or recognition of Israel. Despite the fact that the ten point program calling for the elimination of Israel, it still got opposition from other hardline factions such as the Popular front for the Liberation of Palestine [PFLP], which also fought to eliminate Israel. the Rejectionist Front was created. The rejectionist Front was opposed to the Ten point proram even though it called for the elimination of Israel. The Rejectionist front sought to eliminate Israel. So the Rejectionist front was worried that the ten point program could turn into peace with Israel and sought to eliminate Israel and create a Palestinian state all at once. The Rejectionst front rejoined the PLO in 1977. In that same year, the PLO made another plan that condemned Sadat's visit to Jerusalem. In 1979, the PLO made another plan which condemned Egypt for making peace with Israel and says it's rejection of the Palestinian autonomy on the West Bank and Gaza, which is part of the agreement. The PLO continued to fight to eliminate Israel and saw the Oslo agreements as a tactic to achive the ten-point program. The PLO only pretended to recognize Israel's right to exist ever since 1988. It was in 1988 that the PLO decided that they can no longer publicly show that the yare dedicated to the destruction of Israel. The PLO never gave up their goal of destroying israel and saw the ten-point program as a strategic way to eliminate the Jewish state.
