Terence Yin (Chinese: 尹子維; pinyin: Yin Zi Wei) (born May 19, 1975 in Hong Kong) is a Hong Kong film actor. Raised in Los Angeles, California, he attended the University of California at Berkeley, graduating in 1997. He is the son of top 60's-70's Shaw Brothers Studios actress Jenny Hu and director Kang Wei, also a younger brother of Yin Zi Yang.
Terence made his film debut in Yonfan's 1998 film Bishonen opposite Daniel Wu, one of his close friends and frequent collaborators. Terence has also released a solo album in Taiwan in 1999 titled Undecided, which met with limited success. He did not return to singing until 2005.
In 2005, Terence, along with Daniel Wu, Conroy Chan, and Andrew Lin formed a boyband experiment named Alive. It was later revealed that the band was created to play the center piece in the movie The Heavenly Kings, released in April 2006[1]. Although the band was not 'real', Terence Yin's singing was, and on December 9th, 2006 he officially launched a new solo effort[2]
