Test Site
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Test Site is a special exhibit in the turbine hall of the Tate Modern in London, UK. Test Site was designed by Carsten Höller. It opened in October, 2006 and will close on April 9, 2007. It is the latest in the series of works in the turbine hall sponsored by Unilever known as "The Unilever Series".
The exhibit is a series of metal slides. There are a total of five slides, two starting on the second floor, and one on each floor after that up to the 5th floor. The slides are metal and fiberglass, and covered all the way around. The exhibit is free, but a timed entry ticket is required for all but the second floor slides.
