Talk:The Storyteller
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This is marked as a stub, so presumably we want it expanded -- I'm happy to (loved the series, own every episode on DVD) but I've never done much with TV series articles. Are brief summaries of the episodes desired? Names of actors, etc.? What other information should be added? I don't much desire being accused of adding "fancruft" or whatever it's called, but I also want to add something about a really great piece of entertainment I enjoy. Any thoughts? I'd like to see a list of actors on here, with trivia about their early roles - many went on to become very famous such as Sean Bean, Gabrielle Anwar and Jane Horrocks. Burns flipper 09:04, 20 January 2006 (UTC))

[edit] True Bride origins
This seems to be based on "East of the Sun, West of the Moon", a Norwegian folk tale, but in the credits it's listed as from an "early German folktale". Can anyone provide the source of the German citation? Burns flipper 13:44, 16 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Spoilers or teasers?
Currently season 1 has teasers for dexcriptions, but the 18 March 2006 edit has added the full story for 'Hans'. Should there be spoilers or teasers? Burns flipper 08:22, 20 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Episode descriptions
The page version 01:29, 21 July 2006 Amet contained the text from the book. Please keep episode descriptions to descriptions, not copyrighted text. Burns flipper 07:37, 21 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] when was this on?
I'd love to see it? When was this on and where?
[edit] Variants
Sapsorrow is listed as a variant of Cinderella. It is much closer to Donkeyskin and its variants.
Also, The Three Ravens would appear to be a form of The Six Swans rather than The Seven Ravens. Goldfritha 02:47, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
- Agreed and amended. Burns flipper 09:18, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
- In addition, I think we should note the differences between the original tales and the retellings. The Heartless Giant for instance, is given a twist at the end in the Storyteller version.Burns flipper 08:08, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
