The Coats

The Coats are a capella (singing group) based in Seattle, Washington.
Formed in 1987 at the University of Washington, the group has since released ten albums, and regularly tours throughout the United States.
The Coats were originally known as "The Trenchcoats," but following the Columbine Massacre, the became unintentionally associated with the "Trenchcoat Mafia" (news reports erroneously provided the singing group's web address as that of the killers), so the name was truncated.
