The George-Anne Daily is the official student newspaper of Georgia Southern University. It was founded on April 12, 1927, but didn't become a daily newspaper until 2005. The paper places a large focus on campus news and sports, but as Georgia Southern has grown, a continued emphasis has been placed on issues and events in and around the town of Statesboro. It is published four days a week, Monday through Thursday during Fall and Spring semesters, with weekly editions published over GSU's two summer school sessions.
