The Michael Jackson Show
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Michael Jackson Show is an animated segment that appeared on the sketch comedy television series, Saturday Night Live, as part of Robert Smigel's recurring TV Funhouse segment.
It is a spoof on the classic Hanna-Barbara 60's cartoons, and parodies aspects of singer Michael Jackson, including the child molestation allegations made against him in 1993, and his 2005 trial.
The skit also parodies other celebrities and controversies:
- Tara Reid and her accidental nipple-slip
- Emmanuel Lewis (who in real life is a close friend of Michael Jackson)
- Michael Jackson's court appearances.
- In the introduction, Michael Jackson is taking children away to his Neverland Ranch. But a montage of clips shows him having fun with them, not trying to molest them.
The most recent segment was around 2004, parodying the latest court issues involving Michael Jackson.
