Talk:Tom Monfils
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I've removed most of this article because of lack of verification and possible violation of WP:BLP. Because the case involves a murder, I'm reluctant to leave this information visible without sources. Also much of the latter half was a rambling personal declaration, not remotely encyclopedic. I also don't think this case is notable enough for inclusion in Wikipedia. I'm also going to prod it. --Pigmantalk 06:51, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
Please see this diff [1] for information I deleted immediately from the article. --Pigmantalk 07:04, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
- The article used to be cleaner: [2]. But yes, it's unsourced. Deleting it would cause me no heartburn at all. --Alvestrand 15:48, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
I have left intact a stub of the original article for the time being. Being from Green Bay, I am familiar with the case. With regard to whether the case is notable enough or not, it did dominate the news media here off and on for several years. In its present form WP:BLP is not an issue, as Mr. Monfils is most definitely dead. Hopefully someone will do more thorough research to expand this topic.
This page was recently deleted with no time given for discussion, and for that matter, no reason for deletion. If a user wants to contest the inclusion of this article in wikipedia, they should follow due course and explain themself in the discussion page. Kaiser Vinny 02:29, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
- It fails WP:BIO. --ZimZalaBim (talk) 02:36, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
