Victor Warrender, 1st Baron Bruntisfield

Victor Alexander George Anthony Warrender, 1st Baron Bruntisfield PC, MC (23 June 1899 – 14 January 1993) was a Conservative politician.
Warrender was the son of George Warrender, 7th Baronet. He was baptised with Queen Victoria as one of his godparents and was educated at Eton College. On June 1, 1920, he married Dorothy Rawson (d. 1975), a granddaughter of the Earl of Lichfield and they were divorced in 1945. They had three children:
- John Warrender, 2nd Baron Bruntisfield (b. 7 February 1921)
- Hon. Simon George Warrender (b. 11 August 1922), married Pamela Myer and had issue.
- Hon. Robin Hugh Warrender (24 December 1927 – 8 April 2004), married Gillian ("Gilly") Elizabeth Rossiter, daughter of Leonard and Elsie Rose (nee Oppenheimer) Rossiter. They had three children, Carolyn Robin Warrender, Annabel Rose Warrender and Hugh Mark Warrender.
He married secondly, Tania Kolin on June 22, 1948 and they had two children:
- Hon. Anthony Michael Warrender (b. 17 July 1950), married (1) Christine Semenenko, (2) Patricia Connors and had issue.
- Hon. Victoria Isabella Warrender (b. 27 March 1952), married Hugh Mackay, 14th Baron Reay and had issue.
Warrender was Member of Parliament for Grantham from 1923 until 1942, holding a number of ministerial offices and terms as a whip. He was created Baron Bruntisfield on 10 March 1942.
