[edit] Plot
Voyager Phineas Bogg accidentally acquires a young orphan boy named Jeffrey Jones in New York City, 1982 as an assistant in setting history right by using a time machine known as an Omni. A small red or green display light on the Omni tells them whether or not history is on the right course but Bogg cannot take Jeff back to 1982 or retrieve his lost historical Guidebook left in 1982. After Jeff helps Bogg's mission with the baby Moses in Ancient Egypt, they end up in France during World War I except there are no airplanes anywhere, so the Germans are winning the war. They must go back to Dayton, Ohio and ensure that the Wright brothers invent it but they are too busy squabbling over the affection of a woman called Agnes Spence. The two Voyagers fashion a glider from the brother's blueprints and fly it in front of them, rekindling their interest in flight. When they go back to WWI, (back in France, 1918) they help American flying ace Eddie Rickenbacker and Mary Murphy (both of whom recognize neither of them) escape being killed by The Red Baron. Bogg and Jeff fly in a bi-plane to draw cover from the Red Baron for Eddie and Mary and shoot down his plane but almost crash themselves before jumping in time. Bogg and Jeff agree to be partners as Voyagers but they end up running away from an attacking army in England in 1066 at the Battle of Hastings. {Although they encounter an actress named Mary Murphy played by Faye Grant (from V), Murphy was not born until 1931. It is most likely the writers were thinking of Mary Pickford. Ed Begley, Jr. played Wilbur Wright.}
