Wayras Olivier

Wayras Olivier (b. November 24, 1977) also known simply as Y is an independent screenwriter and film director who works in Vancouver, Canada.
Wayras was born in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. A prolific short film director who shoots in black and white film stock. Themes he dramatizes deal primarily with individuals caught in outrageous circumstances while in the pursuit of truth. In 2005, Wayras began shooting in color when he helmed a commercial directing Daniel Cudmore for a Nike spec. Both, fast cuts and a moving camera are hallmarks of Wayrass' style, crediting; Alfonso Cuarón, Yasujiro Ozu, Martin Scorsese and Adrian Lyne as his main influences.
