[edit] Slang
In Houston hip hop, "What it Do" is a greeting for hello. Paul Wall also used it in his songs.
Origin: The Bay Area, Bay Area Rappers such as E 40, The Mossie, Yukmouth and Keak da Sneak often use the phrase "what it do". Originally it was a question asked by someone as they approach another persons car, meaning, what can u do in your car, in terms of a side show. It has recently evolved to an expression which simply means "what's up" or "what's crackin."
