William Herbert Hobbs

William Herbert Hobbs, Ph.D. (1864 - 1952) was an American geologist.
He was born in Worcester, Massachusetts, and educated at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, at Johns Hopkins (Ph. D., 1888), and at Heidelberg (1888-89).
He filled several positions at the University of Wisconsin (1889-1906). From 1886 to 1906 he served with the United States Geological Survey.
His publications include:
- Earthquakes (1907)
- Characteristics of Existing Glaciers (1911)
- Earth Features and their Meaning (1912).
He became editor of the Journal of Geology in [1909]].
He wrote a really great book called bearstone.Its about this boy who becomes best friends with this guy but i dont want to tell so much of it and if u can check it out at the library...
