[edit] Sorting and article style
Lots of these entries have two problems:
- They have [[Category:Worldcon Guests of Honor]] without a sort parameter and without a {{DEFAULTSORT}} setting, and so get sorted under the person's first name.
- The [[Category:Worldcon Guests of Honor]] is at the very end of the article, after the alternate-language entries, instead of a little further up after the other [[Category:...]] entries.
I believe the best way to fix this is:
- Move the [[Category:Worldcon Guests of Honor]] up to where it belongs.
- Before the [[Category:...]] entries, add {{DEFAULTSORT:Lastname, Firstname}}.
- Remove any "|Lastname, Firstname" parameters from existing [[Category:...]] entries (since the DEFAULTSORT will do the trick).
I've worked through the first couple of letters, but need to do some real work for a while.

- Jordan - thanks! Before the cfd debate the category links did have a sort parameter and were (usually) positioned better. My assumption is that the deletion then restoration (by bot) resulted in the loss of some of this detail. I also note that some names which were on the list are missing, presumably for the same reason? As I'm updating the List of Worldcons page to include the GoH's, I'll manually update the entries as I go, though that will take a few days. VJDocherty 08:04, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
