Khordad (newspaper)

Khordad was a newspaper published by Abdollah Noori. It was shut down by Iran Special Clerical Court and its editor-in-chief, Abdollah Noori, was sentenced to jail for five years. After this newspaper was closed by Iranian Conservatives another newspaper, namely Fath was published by Yadollah Eslami and Abdollah Noori's Colleagues in Khordad.
Khordad is an Iranian Month in Iranian Calendar system. since Khatami was first elected in this month this name is usually refer to his followers. this newspaper also choose this name in this concept. the Newspaper publishers also claim that Khordad is composed of "Khor" for "Khorshid"(Iranian word for Sun) and "Daad" (Iranian word for Justice), and therefore Khordad means : Sun of Justice.
