Phil Comeau is a film and television director, born in Nova Scotia and living in Montreal, Canada.

Comeau is a film and television director and scriptriter born in Nova Scotia, and living in Montreal. He has directed films and television series in over twenty countries, and his films have received 26 awards at film festivals in North America and Europe. His popular drama TV series Tribu.com shot in Montreal in 2002, received ratings of 1.3 million viewers in Quebec. He has travelled on all continents and visited over 50 countries.

Phil Comeau has also directed and wrote numerous Acadian films including the first independent Acadian feature film Jerome’s Secret in 1994, and the first Acadian TV series La Sagouine in 2006.

In 1997, Phil Comeau was awarded the Prix Grand-Pre from the Minister of Culture of Nova Scotia; in 1999, he received the Prix Meritas of the Federation acadienne du Quebec, and in 2006, Comeau received the honorary rank of "Chevalier" of the prestigious L'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres from France.
