Philip Ayckbourn

Philip Ayckbourn is a British actor, director and playwright.

Ayckbourn trained for three years at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA). In 1998, he and fellow RADA alum Judi Armstrong founded Quorum Theatre Company. The company has recently finished its ninth season performing in the south of France.

Ayckbourn's stage roles include Licht in The Shattered Vessel (Riverside Studios, 1996).

While studying philosophy, Ayckbourn became acquainted with Todd Mei. This led to his lead role as military operative Hayden Lorry in Mei's cult film noir homage, Icarus Descending (1998).

He is the son of British playwright Sir Alan Ayckbourn.
