It's funny that some Persians come to Arabic wikipedia saying we are the worst wikipedia because some Persian scientists there (in Arabic wikipedia) are referred to as Arabs, while Ibn al-haitham, the Arab scientist, is referred to as Persian here. --24.211.184.243 ۰۳:۴۹, ۴ دسامبر ۲۰۰۶ (UTC)

it is well known that ibn alhaytham was born in basra in iraq NOT in ahwaz and he is well known as arab not persian go to all wikipedias in all other languages if u persian writors not sure .This is absolutely ridicules .

Even if there were some scientists who were originally persian and idintified as arab because there is no evidance that those scientsts were persian because they were born ,rised,studied,wrote,and died in arab countries .so how come they are persian .i know there were some scientists who were originally pesian or from persian cities but thier books were in Arabic and they studied in arabic in baghdad,damascus or cairo and this is enough to be an arab. think then write.
