Source: I took the image using a Nikon Coolpix 4600. The image is from the Phazon Mines from the first game. It was taken on 3/23/07. The original, uncropped, and unedited version can be found here.

The image is being used to depict Phazon in the Metroid Prime Series.

There is no free fair use alternative image of Phazon within Metroid Prime
The image is of low resolution, and only a small portion of the player’s screen.
