[edit] Ghost train in Scotland

There are some reports of a ghost train, which should be collided with a real train in Scotland and which caused a train disaster with many deaths. All conventional explanations of this disaaster seem to have failed. I believe it was around 1937. Does someone know more?

[edit] Spitfire sounds in 1950's England

Wouldn't be all that unlikely, since over 20,000 were made in total, they were distinguished aircraft with a long service history and popular public image, and according to their article here, were not retired until 1952. Just to reiterate, that's in the 1950's. Over a part of England which at that time contained many more active airfields both military and civilian.

I've left it for now as it's already been asked for citation, but frankly it sounds like excitability, not ghosts.
