Talk:Phase inversion

I see that the article on long-tailed pair describes a circuit using a differential input rather than providing a differential output. That's interesting! My first oscilloscope (home built) used a pair of disposals EF86 tubes in an arrangement described at the time as a long-tailed pair, similar design concept except the other way around. Perhaps this usage is now historic? The circuit was a bizza from various radio/electronics magazines of the 1960s and the ARRL handbook, to use available major components, but it worked. Not sure where that part of the circuit came from! Andrewa 16:16, 17 October 2005 (UTC)
