The game starts off with a scene telling of how Hot Sauce betrays the character. Then you create your charater. The character then moves into his room in Los Angeles. Your goal is to complete tournaments and finaly beat Hot Sauce in one big tournament. Along the way, you will meet real people such as Ludacris, Triks, Gin,and Hot Sauce. A new addition from the last game's story mode is thatyou can free roam around sections of Los Angeles. This enables you to go to local tournaments, go to shops, buy clothes, food, and basketballs, and diamonds, which can unlock certain things.

1 on 1 gameplay is amazing and you can pull some sweet moves. Chauncey Billups is one of the best players in the game.
