Philip Scanlon (born 1976, England) is a former bassist in the Scottish rock group Idlewild. Since his departure in 1997, the group has been unable to find a permanent replacement. Phil now works as a Chemical Engineer and lives outside of San Francisco, US, with his wife and two sons.
