Phoenix Goodyear Airport (IATA: GYR, ICAO: KGYR), formerly known as Goodyear Municipal Airport, is a public airport located near Phoenix, in the city of Goodyear, in Maricopa County, Arizona, USA.
The facility used to be a naval air station and was used for the preservation of aircraft. In 1968, the city of Phoenix purchased the airport as a reliever airport for Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
The airport is not served by any commercial airlines at this time.
The Airport is the Home of the Airline Training Center Arizona (ATCA). ATCA is the Training facility for the Airline Pilot Training of German Lufthansa Airlines.
