Photo-Me International

Photo-Me International plc, which is based in Surrey, England, is a major international operator of automatic photobooths. It also manufactures photographic development and printing equipment. It is listed on the London Stock Exchange and was a constituent of the FTSE 250 Index before it was demoted from the index in March 2006. [1]
The company was founded in 1958 as Photo-Me Studios Limited and became a public company in 1962. In 1993 it joined forces with the French company KIS to develop the PhotoVision booth. It acquired rival Prontophot in 1998 and introduced digital photobooths in 2001. It operates in 15 countries and its main markets are France, the UK and Japan. Its main manufacturing facilities are at Grenoble in France.
Turnover for the year ended 30 April 2005 was £236 million. Profits were £33.0 million before tax and £22.1 million after tax.
