Razavi Khorasan: Torbat-e Heydarieh is an imprtant town in Khorasan, but the list dosn't include it! and the right spell of "Rashtkhar" is "Roshtkhar".

Then... change it... maybe? --Cadby (talk) 19:34, 24 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Meaning of Khorasan

Khorasan has a clear meaning in modern Kurdish: Rasan, as a verb in Kurdish means To Rise. Hence Khor (Sun)+Rasan(Rising) means the place from which sun rises, i.e., the East. I would be glad if someone shows me the meaning of the second part in modern Persian(the first part is obvious from Khorshid).Heja Helweda 03:48, 28 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Pronunciation?

How is this pronounced in English? Is the "Kh" supposed to be like German "ch"? The Jade Knight 07:09, 30 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Khorasan now known as Afghanistan

i didnt see anywhere in the article that khorasan was once the name of Afghanistan. I only see it as eastern Iran which is incorrect because during the time of the Persian Empire, Khorasan was a province including all of Afghanistan as well. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.75.39.15 (talk) 01:16, 8 March 2007 (UTC).
