Khalifatul Masih
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Khalifatul Masih or Khalifat-ul Masih is the elected leader of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Jama'at-i-Ahmadiyya.
The members of the community believe that Khalifatul Masih is the second manifestation of the Khalifat (first being the Khilafat e Rashida (of Righteous Caliphs) which ended with Ali, the son-in-law of Muhammad) and that Allah has assured Ahmadi Muslims that this Khalifat will endure to the end of time. The Khalifat provides unity, security and progress for the Jama’at-i-Ahmadiyya.
Members of the Lahore Ahmadiyya Movement, or Ahmadiyya Anjuman Ishaat-i-Islam, (who also call themselves Ahmadi-Muslims) do not subscribe to this belief.
